Rajendra Mahendrakar
Dr Rajendra Mahendrakar is a consultant paediatrician with a special interest in neurodevelopmental paediatrics, neuro disability and neurorehabilitation with over 20 years of clinical experience in NHS.
He has worked for the NHS since 2003. Over the last two decades, Dr Mahendrakar has worked at several NHS Trust hospitals, including Great Ormond Street Hospital and Evelina children’s Hospital in London. He works as a Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Dr Mahendrakar has extensive training in neurology, neurorehabilitation and neurodisability and works with children with complex needs. In his role at Epsom Hospital, he manages ADHD, Autism, Cerebral Palsy and developmental issues.
His expertise is in diagnosing and managing children with autism, ADHD, developmental delay, speech and language delay, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioural disorders, and cerebral palsy. He also works closely with children with special educational needs, providing medical advice and education and health care plans.
His colleagues have described Dr Mahendrakar as an excellent doctor. He is always reliable and helpful and is a skilled clinician with experience in both acute and neurodevelopmental paediatrics.
