Dr Kaj Gohil
Dr Kaj Gohil is a Clinical Psychologist with over a decade's experience treating patients in both NHS and private settings. She has worked with all ages, offering specialist assessments and therapy.
A seasoned assessor of autism in both adults and children, Dr Gohil is a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is currently seeing clients from our clinic in Southampton. She has a keen interest in learning difficulties and female presentations of autism.
Dr Gohil is passionate about neurodiversity and supporting individuals in their daily lives. She works with partners and families to help them through difficulties and to become more attuned to individual strengths. She has also supported employers and staff to better understand autism.
Dr Gohil draws on narrative and solution-focused approaches, as well as cognitive behavioural therapy and positive behaviour support. She has trained in video interaction guidance and likes to use creative and visual based approaches therapeutically.
Dr Gohil is described by colleagues as an exceptional clinician with high standards and an ability to work reflectively. She is thoughtful and dedicated to her work, showing compassion towards everyone she comes into contact with.
