Dr Susan Bartholomew

Dr Susan Bartholomew is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist with direct clinical experience working with a range of psychological difficulties. She is a Member of the Health & Care Professions Council and has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

As well as seeing patients with complex child mental health and trauma difficulties. Susan is very experienced in specialist assessment and formulation of presenting neurodevelopmental and complex behavioural difficulties in Children and Young People; Particularly for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and learning disabilities. Susan is trained in using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and 3Di Developmental assessment diagnostic tools and a number of psychometrics assessments tools.

She is experienced in assessing and managing parental / family stress and mental health problems when caring for a child or children with complex neurodevelopmental and behavioural difficulties. She is skilled in the use of a number of psychological approaches including Play Therapy, Behavioural Therapy, Attachment, Systemic Family Therapy, Neurodevelopmental, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), Group Therapy and provision of appropriate clinical supervision.

Susan is described by her peers as a thorough and conscientious clinical psychologist with a warm and approachable nature. She will go out of her way to ensure high quality care and Clinical Partners are delighted to include her as part of Psychology Team.
