Bhagyvati Jethwa
Bhagyvati Jethwa graduated with a degree in speech and language therapy from City, the University of London. She has since specialised as a paediatric therapist, gaining 10 years of experience working in the NHS and as an independent therapist.
Bhagyvati has experience working with young people and adults in a variety of settings. This includes assessments and therapy for people children, young people, and adults being assessed for autism. She has also worked with children and young people with a range of communication needs and has developed an extensive understanding and specialist interest in working with people with autism and their families. Bhagyvati has experience working with children and young people with Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, and dysphagia (eating and drinking difficulties).
Over the past four years, Bhagyvati has been involved with diagnostic assessment alongside paediatricians, including in her current role, where she carries out a weekly autism diagnostic observation schedule (ADOS), and provides joint feedback to patients and their families with a paediatrician.
Bhagyvati is described by her peers as an extremely hard-working and reliable professional, who always demonstrates excellent clinical skills. She works hard to contribute to innovation within the service, and consistently receives positive feedback and builds strong relationships with clients, their families and her colleagues.
